Silver cutlery and silverware
We would like to point out that in addition to solid silverware (usually hallmarked: 800; 835; 925), we also purchase silver-plated cutlery, tableware and other silver-plated items.
The most common hallmarks for silver-plated cutlery are: 80; 90; 100. Unlike solid cutlery, where the hallmark (the hallmark) indicates the silver content, the hallmarks on silver-plated items indicate the amount of silver used as a galvanic surface coating. The same applies to utensils or other silverware, such as plates, jugs, etc.
The stamps listed here represent a small cross-section of the existing ones, but they apply to a large portion of goods in Germany. In this case, too, if you are unable to clearly identify your item, please contact us for free, non-binding advice .
