The chains consist of 60-centimeter-long cord and round link chains stamped with the 750 hallmark. They have a wall thickness ranging from 0.43 mm to 0.7 mm.
This makes it virtually impossible to grind down the chains.
What is striking, however, is that the clasp and the eyelet are mounted at a 90° angle to each other.
This is rather unusual for a 750 gold chain, as it compromises comfort.
Even the fasteners themselves do not reflect the quality of the material.
The chains we have here are made of a copper-silver alloy that has been gold-plated with 750 gold.
The chains weigh between 4.7g and 6.6g.
An Italian seller offered our client 5 chains.
Summary:
– 750 hallmark
– Poor workmanship
– Thin material
– Low value of goods.
It is likely that other designs were also counterfeited.
We generally ask that you exercise extra caution when purchasing scrap gold that is difficult to inspect.
