Cord and round anchor chains
The chains are 60cm long cord and round anchor chains with a 750 stamp. They have a material thickness of 0.43mm – 0.7mm.
This makes it almost impossible to grind the chains.
What is striking, however, is that the closure and eye are positioned at a 90° angle to each other.
This is rather unusual for a 750 gold chain, as it impairs its comfort.
The closures themselves also do not show the quality that corresponds to the material.
The chains we have are made of a copper silver alloy which has been plated with 750 gold.
The chains weigh between 4.7g – 6.6g.
Our customer was offered 5 chains by an Italian seller.
Summary:
– 750 stamp
– Poor workmanship
– Thin material
– Low value of goods.
It is to be assumed that other samples were also forged.
We generally ask you to pay increased attention when purchasing scrap gold from material that is difficult to test.
